Predictions for Enterprise Mobility Management in 2019

In the first of a three part series, our Marketing Manager Anna Bowler shares her predictions for what will be trending in the world of Enterprise Mobility Management in 2019.

Prediction one: A rise in businesses developing their own apps.

November saw the launch of SOTI ONE, which allows businesses to build and continuously develop their own app. The main attraction? It’s a drag and drop builder, so there is no need to code. With increasing numbers of businesses adopting an Enterprise Mobility Management platform, it makes sense for them to develop apps which are unique and tailored to their business, rather than attempting to make an existing app fit around their operations.

Prediction two: Increased use of devices in the health sector.

All areas of the health sector can be supported by device use, it makes data real-time and therefore speeds up operations. For domiciliary care it streamlines operations allowing carers to update an app instantly without need to complete lengthy paper work, freeing up time to give more attention to the patient. As device prices drop, we expect to see more and more uptake of Enterprise Mobility Management in this sector.

Prediction three: Decreasing downtime.

A recent SOTI report found up to ¼ of a day can be lost due to poor working technology, we predict that this will fall over the next year. Why? SOTI’s latest version of MobiControl (14.2) provides an oversight of all your devices in one place, with customisable charts. Logging into the system you immediately see the devices that need your support, with the bonus of being able to remotely access the device from the desktop. Now you can identify and repair issues before the user even has chance to log a fault!

Prediction four: Apple releases a new device.

Apple will release a new device that has a slightly larger screen and of course its ‘best-ever’ camera and display. Ok, ok, we all know that everyone at Subsidium HQ secretly loves a good Apple Event and perhaps this is a little facetious. But we are expecting something new from Apple in 2019, the last couple of years we have found it to be more of the same.
